Our Story

Jyoti's foundation was housed in a small shop in old Delhi but has now grown into an international business. Located in the well-known Purani Dilli street, founder Late Mr Raj Kumar Jain operated a small shop that sold only knitting needles. Later Mr Raj Kumar Jain slowly expanded his product line, unaware that this small venture would reach every household in the next 20 years. Taking advantage of the global reach of the shop, B. D. Raj & Co. evolved into a brand. With the establishment of the brand, Jyoti became known among Indian knitters as a supplier of high-quality knitting needles.

The second generation set foot in the business Mr Niraj Jain, brought his own enthusiasm and ideas along with his father's experience and knowledge which helped expand the brand. Around this time, Niraj Agencies was founded and this helped Jyoti add more products geared towards people. Both companies dominated the market and grew immensely. eventually, they were combined into B D R Products (India) Pvt. Ltd. Adding high-quality products from Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China to the range led to rise in the business. This added a standard product range to the B D R product list.

Being appointed as a distributor for Tulip Co., Japan in India was a major Achievement. A new era of glory began when wholesale business became an export business.

The idea of making the brand visible came when the third generation entered the business. The retail business was booming and Jyoti touched the untapped market through it. Using their brand consciousness, Mr Tushar Jain and Mr Chintan Jain make sure Jyoti gets recognized for its journey so far. We have progressed tremendously over the past few years, with the support of everyone. We now stand on par with any existing brand in the Indian retail market. Three generations of business have led to the establishment of Jyoti Tailoring Accessories, Sewing Notions & Stationery Products as a reputable retail brand in India.
